Cleansafe "Moisture Free" Air-cans
Do any of you use those aircans to clean your guns? They are most commonly used for keyboards, I think, but it says on the back that firearms is a common use as well.
The can says "moisture free cleaning" on the front and I used one to clean out a glock, but then someone told me air-cans can have moisture in them, which wouldn't be good to blow into a gun, obviously. Thoughts? Anyone else use these? |

Tried it a few times when I was deployed. It was good for blowing the dust out of the grip frame and some exposed areas, but thats about all I was able to accomplish. To do a real good cleaning job, the old-school way is still the best.
Strictly speaking, it is moisture free IN THE CAN. However, when air (or any gas for that matter) is rapidly de-pressurized, its temperature drops and condenses moisture out of the ambient air. So the moisture isnt coming from the can, its coming from the air around you. |

Be careful not to shake the can while you're using it.

A buddy of mine was stationed as an MP in the early phases of Iraq- he said when they weren't "huffing" the duster cans, they were blowing sand out of their berettas!

Not knowing better, I used this to clean dust out of one of our computers. Shorted out several electrical components. I know better now.
