.380 Question
What's the heaviest bullet one could use in a .380 load and be safe? I've seen a lot about 100gr being the heaviest but was wondering about 115gr. Would just be used for general plinking just to go shoot my .380.

Both handloads.com and reloadammo.com show loads to 120 or 125 gr., but I think 115 is the heaviest I would go, and with caution. Not sure I would try it with a micro-pistol.

Re: .380 Question
I had thought about trying some 115s for my Sig p238. I decided to play it safe and just stick with 90s

Yeah. They'd be shot from the Walther pk380. I'd like to find some magtechs or mgb

I tried 115 JHP's in my wifes Bersa 380, and the accuracy went to crap. but my lyman's manual lists 2.5 gr of 700x and a 115 jhp as potentially most accurate. your results may be different than mine.

Most 380's are blowback but Wiki says the Walther PK380 is a locked breech pistol.
Blowbacks are severly limited to what bullets and powders they can use, but locked breech pistols can use a wider range without function issues. Revolvers have the widest perating envelope, as long as you can pull the trigger they will go bang. Try the heaviest bullets that will feed and extract without blowing case heads or primers.

I've shot cast 130gr RF from several 380's and they shot good with 2gr Bullseye.
