I have an old High Point 9mm. The trigger is worthless, even though it is very accurate. I fire a new one recently, the trigger was fairly ok. I have mine in an after market stock. That company should have taken the opportunity to have it use a high cap mag.

How about a re-start--if desired--with info about budget and willingness to learn/train beyond minimal basics?
