Remington 721 date of mfg and general coolness question

So I just recently picked up a Remington model 721 chambered in 30-06.

I cannot find the manufacturing date of this piece anywhere. It has a little malaise to it because it was in a shed just draped by a tarp and the door was open to the Weather for the last three years apparently but still it’s mine. It’s cool it’s older and I’d like to learn the manufacturing date and how many people like this model 721.

Unfortunately, I cannot make sense out of this. Can you? Because my three letters coincide with five different dates in that chart

Oh, and I don’t have a picture hosting site. Otherwise I’d show you the barrel markings.

6366524E-AE01-498D-8F9B-3A1BA7187EC3.jpegCGS is the lettering on the barrel.

I tried uploading a photo twice and it won’t work I think…. Maybe….

I'm thinking
C. April
G. 1960
S. Assembler.

The 721 was made 1948 - 1962 so no date outside that range is valid.

I saw 1938 1960 and 1982 with letter g. So it can nfused the crap out of me.

Thank you for clarifying that!

It’s perfect! I love cool old guns, I got a 1923 drowning A5 12 magnum with this 721. Now the only thing yo yo is to give a thorough cleaning and sending fun down range!

They repeat the same numbers, but other details should nail down DOM.
