I have seen more websites doing this. Kind of a pain.

The site went down for a time yesterday due to what appears to have been a "denial of service" attach, which is an attack in which the site is flooded with visits by "bots" that overwhelm the server capacity.
Cloudflair attempts to counter such attacks by checking who is coming on-line to weed out the bots. I don't know how it works --that's above my pay grade -- but we're back on line, so I guess it works. Yes, it's a bit of a nuisance but, as the saying goes, it beats the alternative.

If you have a browser that does that, it kind of means at least some portion of the protections it has are working. If not, well, change browsers.
