I want to thank you all for the replies and congrats. I dont know who was more excited that morning seeing that deer appear and come walking towards us in our little ground blind. Emily was very composed and waited for a good shot (almost too long) another 3 steps and that deer would have been in the pines and gone.
It was a great day for both of us, I did the field dressing but she helped with the dragging, after getting home we skinned it out, let it hang a while then cut, ground burger and vacuum sealed it for the freezer. Like most of you have said, " A new Hunter has been born" |
