I have seen many post in the handgun forum wondering whether the Walther P99 high Capacity magazines will work in the Smith/Wesson SW99. (9mm). Since I have a SW99-9 this information would be very interesting to me.

Dear Gunpowder,

The answer is YES. The SW99 polymer frame is still being made by Walther and is only cosmetically different from the original P99.

The mags should be interchangeable without any problem. You will, however, have to look at the bottom of the magazines and see "Walther P99" staring back at you, taunting you for not purchasing the original!
