ortgies issues

I recently purchased a 32 cal ortgies at an estate sale and after replacing all of the missing parts per the GunParts schematic, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how this little gun functions. Can anyone explain to me the cocking and firing principls of this gun?

Ortgies

Hi. It's a simple blowback action. To me, the tricky part is knowing that you have to push the firing pin guide into that notch on the top of the slide when you reassemble. If you would like two page instructions let me know.

Assuming you have all the parts, the gun is pretty simple, operating like most blowback striker fired guns.

Starting cocked, pulling the trigger pulls down the sear, releasing the firing pin. The firing pin goes forward, fires the cartridge. The pressure forces the cartridge case to the rear, blowing the slide back and operating the disconnect mechanism. The tail on the striker rides over the sear. When the recoil spring reasserts itself, it pushes the slide forward, chambering another round and leaving the striker caught by the sear, ready to fire again.
