Match at tulsa report

We had a great day weather wise for a black powder match, Oklahoma at its best. Being the last weekend of the muzzle loader deer season,we still had a great turn out. We had 14 shooters repersenting several local clubs. All seemed to have a great time. Some good scores were shot. As usual some neat equipment on the line; shooting boxes, powder horns and of course, rifles. I think 9 of the rifles were home-builts.
If you are wondering why the match was held while the deer season was still on, this is a very active club and also the Tulsa county sheriff's range, so we took the first weekend we could get that was open; also it gets cold later on. We hope to make this an annual event.
We would like to have a match in April 2010, possibly the third weekend. Will do our best to get the word out. We will post it on here and also on www.tulsagunclub.com along with phone calls. Hope to post photos in a day or two.
