Marlin 39A Barrel switch
I see that Gun Parts has factory octagon barrels for Marlins for only $51. I'm thinking about converting my old round barrelled rifle. How hard is it to change barrels? Is it screwed onto the receiver or pined? Is indexing an issue? Thanks.

The Marlin 39 barrels are screwed on. They MUST be indexed and head-spaced.
In other words, qualified gunsmith ONLY installation. |
