i was in douglas county near curtin,OR in the melrose unit on a youth hunt in gustina logging land, thier real heavy in the rut now

I forgot to mention how much I love the chocolate rack! From everything I've always heard, the dark color is from a lack of sun. Love those chocolate horns! I've spent a lot of time hunting blacktails and I've never shot a 5x5, you should be very proud bthunter!

I have always been told (and you know how that goes...) that the racks are darker if they do a lot of rubbing on evergreens - all the pitch. Sounds both silly and possible at the same time....
