What am I doing wrong?

Hoping I can get some help with this issue I'm running into. I am very close to having my Dillon XL650 set up to load .308 Win. I am using a Dillon 3pc die set, full length size die, 150gr fmjs of unknown mfg purchased from Wideners, and once fired Magtech brass.

I set up my size/decap die using a case gauge and the brass falls within spec, but now that I am trying to adjust my seating die I cannot achieve the minimum OAL (2.800) as listed in both my Nosler and Lee manuals. I am getting a little over 2.742 and if I back the seater out any further the bullet will not seat.

I fully expect this to be some sort of error on my part, can anyone point it out to me?

The die has it's own threads and the seating plug has it's threads... I would guess that you have the die threaded so far in that you can't back the seating plug out enough?

Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean by "the bullet will not seat".

I am terribly sorry, I just realized I'm an idiot and don't know how to read an old fashioned non digital set of calipers. You can delete this thread if you see fit.
