Is This Sear Broken?

A little help, please. I picked up a Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 in 30-30 recently. As I always do when I acquire older guns, I did a tear down to clean and inspect. I'm no gunsmith, but I came across this sear with a notch I've not seen in any of my other pre 64 Model 94s. I picked up a replacement sear on Gunbroker, and the notch in the replacement is not there. See pics for comparison. There's also a grove on the "broken" one that going all the way across that also isn't there on the replacement. Don't know what I'm seeing here.

Anyone have any insight?

Google Winchester model 94 SEAR and click on IMAGES...there, you'll find the answer.

Looks OK, but let's see how the sear/hammer interact. Need an image of the two in engagement (hammer cocked). Well lit photo with clean background?

I spoke with my gunsmith about it. He said it's just like it's supposed to be. It's apparently an improvement over earlier versions.
