Savage 10 FP-SR
I am soon to be the owner of a Savage 10 FP-SR in .308. What bullet weight(s) would be optimum for a 22'' barrell with a 1:10 twist?

My standard factory Savage 10 FP shoots anything from 150 grains to 175 grains.
It has preferences for velocity and seating depth, but it shoots factory and hand loads under 1 MOA. It has averaged 0,678 inch groups for over 555 measured groups including all bullet weights. It also has over 20 favorite loads that shoot under 0.6 inches on average, including several factory ammos. Your special stock version should shoot even better. |

My son's 10 FLP shoots Federal GMM 168 grain into a half-inch. Day-in, day-out, it's a half MOA rifle. I've worked up a handload that duplicates that load and we're very happy with it.
