Possibly a strange question.
So I've reverently started to carry a Hk vp9 aiwb. It really has made me more aware of my surroundings and making sure it stays concealed(even though no permit is needed here in Wyoming for either carry)
The other day I was traveling and stopped at a Gas Station to relieve myself after a few hours on the road. Now, since I was in a different state, and with no formal permit, I can't carry there, but as I approached the urinal I began thinking of how I would deal with undoing my belt, etc at a urinal, and hence leaving the pistol out and flapping in the wind... How do you guys deal with using public restrooms that are rather large, like at larger gas stations or restraunts where you can't lock the door. Maybe... Instead of using male and female restrooms, I want to use a restroom based on my carry status. Would using a stall be a better bet? Pretty soon my urban carry g2 will be arriving because I sit/drive most the time and also have my shirt tucked in. I'm thinking the urban carry will present a similar difficulty. . For urinal work, I just unzip my fly. No need to unbutton pants and/or loosen belt. Doesn't affect anything in terms of concealment. For sit-down work, of course, there's the relative privacy of a stall.

Only a problem if your carrying your firearm in your fly. Other then that, it's a question l wouldn't want to answer. Maybe best not to carry.

It becomes a lot easier to just use the stalls.

You just look around and say "Excuse me while I whip this out!"

Just head for the woods instead.
Less germs there, too.

This has been discussed into the ground in the earlier days of internet gun forums. So a search might help.
As stated there is no reason to undo your belt. You may find that many common carry guns will fit in a pants pocket if you have to sit down. So empty the pockets and do such. Also, in larger shopping venues, there are large handicap stalls or family bathrooms that would allow you room and space to put the gun on the floor if you needed to - with some paper, I would suggest. Given that these suggestions cover thousands of posts from the past and I see the tendency for silly suggestions, please search and thus I close this.
