First IDPA match

Shot my first match today and had a great time! Super fun, much more difficult then it looks. Got myself one procedural problem (forgot to move and shoot) however hit most of my targets.

Special thanks to the folks at Fletchers Arms in Waukesha WI. Everyone was very nice and super helpful. Can't wait to shoot next week.

Glad you had a good time. It is a fun sport. The moving and shooting thing is difficult for most new people, just not something they are used to. Welcome to the sport.

IDPA @ Fletcher Arms in Waukesha, Wisconsin

I think this is some of the same guys who used to run IDPA at Heartland Sportsman's Club.

I may have to run over there some Sunday morning.

Racine IDPA and Ripon IDPA are actual sanctioned IDPA clubs.

Racine is running the IDPA classifier match indoors next Saturday 4 Feb @ 5pm at Shooter's Sports Center in Racine. They are also doing a classifier outdoors at the Racine Rifle & Pistol Club on Sat 21 July. Good group to shoot with.

check out www.racineidpa.com

Ripon IDPA shoots outdoors on the second Saturday of the month beginning in April. They will probably be running a classifier match on Saturday 12 May. They often run another classifier match in June or July, prior to whenever the state match is. for more info check out www. wisconsinshooters.com or www.idpaforum.com. A very good group to shoot with and I wish I could get up there more often.
