new eyewear for shooting/outdoors?

hey everyone... im looking for a nice set of eyewear for general use and shooting use as well as outdoors/hunting.. currently, i dont have any safety eyewear so im pretty vulnerable should a riccochet, casing, dust, or whatever else could get into my eyes and i was looking for some advice as to what i could use for this purpose?

so, since id like these for shooting, hunting, and outdoor use, they would need to be very durable, and stay on the face pretty well, as well as offer good coverage around the eyes, and since there isnt a shooting range here, they would need to be tinted...

heres the problem though, i have an astigmatism and because of such, the lenses need to be relatively flat which eliminates any, and all wrap-style sunglasses... which leaves flat sunglasses that tend to leave spaces above, below, and around the sides of the eyes exposed making it hard to see anything...

so.. suggestions?

I would find an eyewear professional that handles safety glasses and see what options they can suggest. They should be able to handle any fit issues and supply the proper lenses for your application including anti-glare or polarized lenses. If you have never tried polarized lens I would seriously recommend them to l eliminate glare.

ive used polarized lenses... i love them... i was thinking of going with bobster goggles which are rated for shooting purposes as well... could get these with a photochromatic polarized lense and replace my regular eyewear with them too... them make a band out of paracord and have something durable, simple, that i can use for shooting, hunting, workshop, or at home... then ill never forget them when i do some shooting

Let me tell you, eyeware has come a long way. There are big names like Oakley, Wiley, Liberty Sport, ESS etc.. The military has special "approved eyeware" for their troops. Oakley has been the prefered vendor, and has saved many eyeballs. Botach or Ranger Joe's has an excellent selection of regular eyeware geared towards what our looking for. Hell, you can be cheap, and get some nice "over the glasses" shooting specs.
Now, if you want something custom, go to a good optometrist. Hopefully you keep your script up to date? See if he has shooting glasses. Sometimes they group them with "motorcycle" goggles(that's why some offices keep them off to the side). They have the same requirements. You can get them with as many options as you can afford. I got a custom goggle/shooting/dri-eye, that totally seals around the orbs. I spent $400us for my set of progressive, blah blah blah, and still could have had more options. Look around. You might find a shooting glasses specialist. They do exist. If you go the custom prescription route, make sure you get "scratch resistant" and "anti-fog" coatings if nothing else. They can get expensive, but you don't have to break the bank. They are your eyes, how much do you value them?:

Look at the Cocoons.
I have the same problem you have and also wear trifocals. The Cocoons fit nicely over your regular glasses. I have 2 pair and love them.
