Circumventing Swartz?
I am looking to turn my series 2 kimber into a series 70 type action. I understand that there has been numerous problems with the swartz system hanging up the slide. From my examination I believe changing the firing pin to a standard model will remove the need for the plunger (for lack of a better word) on the underside of the slide from needing to depress. This of course does not keep the slide from getting locked up on the other parts but would allow for their removeal or allow for them to be filled down. I am by no means a gunsmith, does anyone have an easier way or comments on the my planned modification.
Thanks in advance, Ajacobs. |

I am not familiar with the details of the Series II.
There was a discussion of defeating the system by just changing the firing pin at: http://www.pistolsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=13976 |
