Gun Grease

Will halocarbon grease work as a good gun grease? I am mainly concearned about a grease for the frame / slide rails on semi auto pistols.

IMNSLE I don't much recommend (Tetra)Grease for the rails; I recommend BreakFree CLP.

You, of course, may do as you wish.
Might wish to try TetraGrease.

Slop a whole bunch on, work the slide, then slop a whole bunch off.
