Nosler E-Tip Bullets

I was considering getting the 100 gr e-tips to shoot out of my 250 savage pistol. I use the accubonds in my 300 wsm and the ballistic tips in my 308. I was just wondering if any one had used the e-tips and if so you think of them???? Thanks

i have not used e-tips but i wouldn't use them in a 250 pistol. they require very high velocity for good expansion. they are a metal gilding which is 95% copper and 5% zinc i think. anyways, they do not expand well with anything except high velocity although they hold together very very well. you would be better off with a pure copper bullet or a copper jacketed bullet. good luck what ever you decide.

Also keep in mind that since they are made of gilding metal, they will be longer than a cup and core bullet in a given weight, so your 250 Sav may not stabilize them unless it has a fairly fast twist.

It has the 1-10 twist. I was just wondering if any one had acually killed with them. All reviews I can find are not to good, For all diameters. I believe I am just going to go with Nosler BT's in 100 gr.
