I recently purchased a .22 caliber pistol. It has Cobray engraved on the handle.
It has FMJ Ducktown, TN on the barrel as well as Mod. R and the serial number appears to be D00000181. To load you pull back a release and the barrel and cylinder fold forward. The cylinder will come out for cleaning and when firing you have to manually turn the cylinder to the next round as well as it being single action. Curious to approximate age and value. |

Talk about basic! Those little guns are just that. FMJ is now located in Copperhill, TN according to my sources, but I haven't seen any of their guns for a while, so don't know if they are still in business or not. They started around 1992 or so and make/made derringers, two revolver models (R in .22 and MR in.45 Colt/.410), a pistol and two .410 shotgun models.
The Model R is worth less than $100 even in 100% condition. I never heard of any connection with Cobray, but there might be one. Perhaps someone else can provide better information. Jim |
