http://www.handloads.com/calc/
While maybe not quite as good as some of the more costly programs, this one is free and good out to 1000 yards. I have been happy with it. If this works for you, then maybe the $ can be spent on something else?

Back when a 386-20 SX was a decent computer,I bought a copy of Sierra's ballistic prgram. It still serves me very well.
BTW,a program teams up very well with a Chronograph! |

I'm looking for one of those hand held portable things that I can take to the range. I saw one guy that had a PDA or Palm Pilot with a program on it.
What's a cheap way to get one of those? THANKS! |

I'm not real well versed on Blackberrys and such, likely the program could be loaded on one.
But,you might look at the PACT chronograph with a ballistic calculator built in.I have not used one,but it might be just your ticket .Not too bad pricewise at about $230,However,do your own research on the capabilities of the software.I have no experience with it. |
