Wood Forearm for Para FAL

My Argentine Para FAL has a plastic forearm. I would like to replace it with a wood forearm, just for appearance sake.

Will a wood forearm fit my rifle?

Pad Stock and Plate Stock

On the Ironwood web site they list Pad Stocks and Plate Stocks. What do those terms mean?

It appears that one is made to fit a metal recoil plate while the other fits a recoil pad issued on STG58 stocks, such as in the picture displayed at this link:

Just a quick search, I don't know if that's all there is to it.
