custom trigger on 10-22
Does anyone have personal experience with the "Power Custom" trigger for the Ruger model 10-22??
I am comtemplating the purchase of one, and would like opinions from those who have used them. T.I.A. Ben

I have five 10/22s that I've rebuilt and I used it in one of them. Used a Volquartsen in another. Then I tried a Kidd and it was like the clouds parted and sexy angels showed up with cupcakes and candy. The Power Custom was a lot better than the factory trigger but I like the Kidd way more than the others I tried.

Thank you gentlemen. Yes, I was referring to the complete kit.
I guess I need to do a bit more research.

I have used the Volquartsen hammer (trigger job in a box) kit which is similar, I also own two professionally hand tuned factory triggers and have a couple of Volquartsen complete trigger assemblies. I also own a high-buck Kidd 2-stage and it's so far better than anything else I've used on my 7 10/22s that all I can say is wow. I've really been tempted to try the Kidd trigger job in a box for polymer trigger assemblies, but it's expensive. Anyway here is my list from best (top) to worst (bottom).

I've got a Kidd single stage and love it. Real easy to drop into your trigger housing. I'm thinking about building another 10/22 and this time i'm thinking about a 2 stage Kidd. Check on rimfirecentral.com in the 10/22 section. Lots of information over there.

Why not try honing your trigger on a stone? Go very slow and don't change the angles. We used to do that back in the '80s before all the aftermarket triggers came out.
