Winchester Model 12 disassembly
I have an old Winchester Model 12 (20 gauge) with an adjusting sleeve that I can't get to unthread from the barrel using hand pressure on the receiver extension with the sleeve held in a padded vise. (I have disengaged the adjusting sleeve lock.) Does anyone have any experience with this?

PM me. I have a disassembly page to send you.
Is the pump forearm all the way forward so it is clearly visible above the Adj.Sleeve? To make adjusy=tments you'll need a "Dogbone" wrench that slip over the threaded portion of the Adj. Sl., and tightens or loosen the fit. The wrench has twow fireamrs to work on theModel 12 and the 97. |

They get gummy and cruddy.
Soak and persuade (gently). Rinse and repeat.
