Tubbs Final Finish

I have a box of Tubbs final finish rounds that I bought about 12 years ago and it has been sitting unopened on my ammo shelf since then. I am currently doing some work on an old Mossberg 800B (I got it sometime in the 90's, it was my great uncle's rifle) and after having a long cleaning session decided to give them a try. Of note: I purchased .243 FF rounds, the box was labeled .243 and as previously mentioned sat unopened for a long time.

I got to the range and found out I had a box of .223. Good thing I have a few .223s, because I have a feeling 15 years is a bit out of customer service range at Midway

I wouldn't know, as I brought a .243 to shoot and the box was filled with .223.

I tried tubbs final finish bullets once. It did not effect accuracy, and did not seem to smooth out my barrel at all. very rough cheap hunting rifle. all they did was round off the start of the lands and make them uneven. Contacted tubbs, sent pics, no response. called tubbs talked with someone and sent the pics directly to them. no call back. I will never be using them again.
