Ed Lovette vs. Grant Cunningham....kinda...

I've been shopping for gun/tactics books for my Kindle. One book I've come across is The Snubby Revolver: The ECQ, Backup, and Concealed Carry Standard by Ed Lovette ( http://www.amazon.com/Snubby-Revolve...4319080&sr=1-1 ). Unfortunately, the "preview" on Amazon doesn't do it justice (instead of the first chapter, it's mostly the intro & acknowledgements....little info there...

)

I already have Grant Cunningham's Gun Digest Book of the Revolver ( http://www.amazon.com/Gun-Digest-Boo...4319288&sr=1-1 ) and have found it very useful and enlightening.

What does Lovette's book have more than Cunningham's book? Is the Lovette book worth buying and reading if I've already read Cunningham's book?

All commentary is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Let's see...one costs about $13.00 and the other $15.00. A fella could buy both and not be poorer.

If you read one and gain some knowledge and then read the other you will likely gain more knowledge. At a minimum the knowledge to answer the question you ask, for yourself and pass it on. You will also know more about wheelguns then you know now, which will be a plus. Also if you read one, reading the other will not drive that knowledge out your noggin.

Get both and have done with it. This is not a big decision.

I haven't read either, but I did just read "stressfire" - I bought a hard copy and I'm not sure if it's available on the kindle - and I would definitely recommend it if you haven't already read it.
It wasn't long, but gave me a lot to think about and a lot I could actually try out.

Both were very good, but with different focuses. Lovette's book is more oriented toward living a self-defense lifestyle. Cunningham's is more technical. They compliment each other.
