tee-ball

Bats are meant to be two handed in use. But...

Use a tee-ball bat and it's a really light one handed weapon. They aren't as long, but can be easily swung with one arm if need be. Get a titanium/aluminum one cheap.

I used to carry one in my backseat when I was in high school. Mainly because a gang at my high school was supposedly going to "jump" me in the parking lot when I least expected it. I figured I needed something extra.

Oh well. I still like the idea of the maglight, but a tee-ball bat really can be effective.
