BBL swap on S&W revo?

How much trouble to swap bbls on a 629 44 maggie? Want to swap the installed 4" for a 6". On a non pinned frame. Is this a do it yourself job, or do I need professional intervention? There's a world class pistolsmith about 90 miles from me.

It is a pretty demanding task. I'd go the 90 miles.

It's been two years since The Incident.
I rebuilt on the same location and have been in the new house since the middle of 2011. I just talked to the gunsmith today about getting back to work on my guns now that hunting season is over.

Watch this space.
The narrow gauge politicians and greedy developers of the city of Sheffield AL are working up to evict the gun club from the 33 year old range built on a dump site. When they make it official next week in spite of all the legal, political, and public pressure we can bring to bear, their shenanigans will be on the www for all to see.
