Happiness is powder in stock.

Stopped for my weekly check while in the city. Nope no IMR 4895 or BLC-2, BUT they did have some H335. Haven't used it before but seems it's a decent one for .223. Probably 25 grains depending on what data i find on line and in my manuals, and 55 gr HP for defense against things like rocks, pop bottles of water, paper, and should some varmit show himself it go bad for home too. Sometimes all you can do is the best available, heck it might become my favorite and end up in the mag as the rifle hangs over the door, who knows.

You did just fine. H335 is fantastic with 55gn .223 bullets. It is my preferred powder in that weight class. Try it, bet you'll like it.

It took me a year to find another jug of H4350.

I found it on line at Graf and sons in May 2014 for $178.99 + $7.95 shipping + $28.50 haz mat = $215.44 / 8 pounds = $26.93/pound

And I was happy.

My buddy picked up 2 pounds of h335 and I found some at another store. Have not shot any yet, but I have some 55gr loads ready to go at 21.5 gr to 22.5. Most of my ammo is blasting ammo so I tend to keep the charges low.

I don't load for rifle; but even I know that H335 is well suited for .223 Remington. I'm pretty sure you did fine. Just fine.
