Patterns for steel silhouette?

I'm looking for patterns and specs to cut my own steel targets. Does anyone know where I can find this information? So far my Google searches only give me places to buy targets.

What are you looking for?
You could just copy an army "D" target onto steel from a paper target of the same size.

NRA steel animals targets (pig, turkey, ram, chicken) also have paper targets in 1:1 scale. Why measure when you can trace

Thanks bird hunter. Ok I'll search for 1:1 paper for the animals. However, what about weight and base size?

In terms of base sizes and design, try to keep your targets swinging, dropping or moving; fixed steel targets are a bad idea. Rigid steel takes a beating and is more dangerous to the shooter.

I made different steel targets for my pistol pit. My favorite was tracing around a bowling pin. I made five, at first I set them up on a rail, but it was too much trouble re-setting them. So, I bolted them down to the rail, and just use some cheap white spray paint after so many shots, as is done in Steel Challenge matches. When shot a big black splash is on the target. I made five to simulate the old bowling pin matches.
