S&W 581/681 question

Being these guns are fixed sights, are they regulated for 125 grain bullets, or 158 grain bullets?

Thank you for any replies.

I would guess that similar to M10/64 and M65/13 they are regulated for heavier bullets like the 158 JHP Magnum.

I've owned one of each in the past. Both shot low with popular 125g Mag moads.

The one I had seemed to be sighted for 158gr magnum.
It should shoot Silvertip Winchester fairly close to point of aim.

I have an early 581 (carried it in the Border Patrol, back when). Used 158 grain .357 Magnum loads and 145 grain "Silvertip" 357 Magnum ammo. Shot to the sights as purchased.

MY 681 hits POA with 158 and heavier bullets.
I tried 125 and hit low by about 3-4 inch at 15 yards.
