Forehand & Wadsworth Revolver.
Just aquired a small nickel plated Revolver, with black plastic or hard rubber grips, 6 shot cylinder, 2 1/2" barrel, top strap marked: Russian Model 32. Barrel marked: Forehand & Wadsworth. S/N 183** in several places, all matching
The Gun is a .32 cal. Rimfire. Overall condition: Mechanicly tigth, 90% nickel finish, shiny bore. Never seen a Revolver of this Mfg. Any info on this unit would be helpfull, including aprox. value. Thanks in advance for your help. Last edited by The Outdoorsman; April 1, 2013 at 12:47 AM. Reason: Add. info. correst spelling error. |

got a couple, they aren't terribly uncommon... since I shoot mine I put more value on the center fire models, since I can reload, & there is still factory ammo available... the snubbie is worth a premium, as 3.5 - 4" barrels were the norm... Blued guns in this era are worth more than the nickel ones, grips should be hard rubber ( careful as they get very brittle, & they often crack around the pin, when removing )
my best guess without pics as to actual condition, would be between $100.00 - $250.00 here are a few to look at on Gun Broker... ( as you can see, I think all pictured are 32 S&W, so are you sure yours is rimfire ??? ) http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx...+%26+Wadsworth

F & W Revolver
Thanks for Your information. Yes, I'm sure it's a rimfire. Also it has a solid frame, not a topbreak, as some fellows sugested.
Thanks again to everyone for there responds. |

Magnum Wheel is spot on with the value, This was the last spur trigger F&W made, 18,000 total made,1888-1891. As far as I know, F&W did not make any break top revolvers. F&W was taken over by Hopkins and Allen in 1901/02.
