My dear goodness. To the OP, that is a simply splendid specimen. Wow.
As to the pistols, they're tools, so I shoot 'em. Nothing I own is even really collectible by any measure, but I refrained from carrying/shooting them because they were so pristine. Screw that. First to go was a Colt 1911, with a lovely finish (and a sweet trigger). Well, I carry it regularly. Next to go is a CZ 75 B Compact, with that lustrous blue finish. God, what a perfect concealed weapon (for me). Hell, when I'm dead, my descendants can worry about what my pistols look like. nate45, thanks for that product tip.

Bought one of these in 6" last year too. 1972 vintage and NIB.

I've decided to part with it since I can't shoot a lot of +P ammo through it while practicing for the silhouette matches.
Note: this is not fishing for a sale, thank you. I'm going to try a new optics mount on the 686 that, hopefully, will allow me to shoot the same gun in both irons and optic classes. Hope to get it within a few days.
