how many cartridges for Varget?
I keep hearing people rave about Varget.
I know it works well for the .223. Does anyone have experience with it in 6.5x55 ? These are the cartridges I shoot most often and I would love to buy one powder for both. |

I use it in .223, .308, and .30-06. I could wish that it went through a powder measure more smoothly than it does, but it performs superbly in all of the above.

I load 7.5x55 Swiss, 8mm Mauser, and .303 British with Varget. Darn good stuff......

Just went to the range today and tried Varget in my old 250-3000. Did better than anything else I've tried so far.
Also agree with Rico about it not running through a measure very smoothly. |

I've always used slower powders in my 6.5x55, but I can't think of any reason not to use Varget, particularly with the lighter bullets.
