20 ga pheasant load ?

I was going through my load data and was wondering what would be a great load for hunting pheasant ? I have a variety of 2 3/4" hulls . My loader doesnt like rem hulls . I have fiocci , win AA , Federal . How heavy of a shot charge and how much velocity ?

When I've used a 20, what's worked for me is one ounce of #5 (my preferred size) or #6 shot at around 1,220 FPS. Alliant has data.

I really like Federal 20's with Longshot powder. Its going about 1400fps and deadly on pheasants. 24gr of powder and a Fed 20S1 wad with 7/8 ounce of #5 shot. Hogdon yearly manual.

I've always had great success with 2 3/4", 1 1/8oz, #6 shot. Even though I have a 3" chamber, the short mags patterned better and performed well in the game getting arena.
