Glock 36 vs Glock 26 - I'd take the 26

This was my carry progression, take from it what you will:

S&W 1911Sc (lightweight commander length 1911)
Glock 36
Glock 26
Glock 19

I did pick up a Sig 938 but I have not had a chance to do much with it as I bought it right before getting sent to Japan for three years (1 year left).

Or you could split the difference wiith 7/8 rounds of 38/45 Clarke.

Personally, I would prefer to carry 7 rounds of .45 ACP over 11 rounds of 9mm Luger.

OK,its a zombie thread.
It would be good to compare single stack to single stack,or double stack to double stack.
Standard 1911 single stack originally was a 7 rd 45 and a 9 rd 9mm.

A 45 ACP Shield is,what? 7 +1 vs 9mm 8+11? I'm not sure about that,I'd have to look it up.

Double stack 45 acp's are available,among them the RIA,Kimber..
