Are Pentax & Burris the same scope makers?
I've always been a Leupold fan. Some years back I bought a Pentax 6x24 Lightseeker scope to save about $150 off the Leupold 6x20. To my surprise the Pentax was superior in all respects. I owned 3 of the big Leupold 6x20 to compare with. I've talked to several "gun experts" & they tell me Burris is the American version of Pentax.
Is this true? TIA... ...bug |

AFAIK,
The Pentax Lightseeker was made in the US by Burris, and was very similar to the Burris Signature. Don't know if they still are being produced. The Pentax Pioneer was a rebadged Burris Fullfield II, both made in the Philippines. The Pentax Pioneer II was the Pioneer, but made in China. The Pentax Gameseeker is made in China. |
