Mosin Nagant front action screw
Can any one tell me if I can get this screw at the hardware store. If so what size is it. It's the one it's the smallest of the 2 that holds the recover and such in the stock. It screws in in front of the magazine. Thanks.

Or if some one could tell me how long it is I'll stop and see if they have one that will work. Thanks.

Not available other than surplus, or after aftermarket (Rock Solid). Definitely not a hardware store item, nor McMaster Carr for that matter.
32 tpi, .256 dia., 55 degree Whitworth thread.

No problem
Same thing thread pitch/dia. as the sear screw and firing pin. In an "emergency", one could cut down a firing pin and weld/machine a screw head onto it to make one. Most of the milsurp suppliers still carry them. In all honesty, I prefer the military over the allen head aftermarket screws even on custom builds.

Yea I picked up on that's got an archangel stock on it and I'm trying to put back original and that screw is all I like. The one on the archangel doesn't fit the original stock. It's not long enough

Try either Apex gun parts:
https://www.apexgunparts.com/rifles/...w-russian.html Or for both screws, Liberty Tree Collectors: https://www.libertytreecollectors.co...&idcategory=17 |
