Small thin 9mm semiauto

I am interested in locating a small thin 9mm semiauto. It would be carried IWB.The thinner the better! Any suggestions, comments appreciated.

The Sig 938 is worth a look, too.

PM9 or CW9. Fantastic little pistols.

I sold my PM9 because I found I was carrying my LCP 95% of the time, I was moving away from 9mm, and I wanted to free up funds for other toys... but in hindsight those three combined were not reason enough to sell it off.
Some day I'll probably replace it with a PM40... most definitely if they round off the front corners of the PM slide and do away with the thick 1911-style slide stop in favor of a simple pin and internal stop (like the LCP) .

The Walther PPS would be my second pick, only because its bigger (but its as thin as the PM9)

My BIL has a Springfield Armory XDS 9mm and it is certainly worthy of consideration. I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy, reliability and handling of this pistol.

Another vote for the Kahr CW9. It's my EDC and comfortable to carry at almost any position IWB.

The Shield for me.

It's the perfect size. Not too big or small.

Depending on the size of your hand, but I just bought a FEG PA-63 that is like a thin 9mm but has a full size grip. It is very comfortable to hold and has a great point of aim shooting group. Only down side is it is the 9x18 Makarov ammo limitation and does need a Wolf spring kit to make it a better carry.

Kahr has this market locked. But if you can handle all-metal and a bit more thickness, the Smith CS9 Chiefs Special is a great gun.

Oh, the Kahr K9 is wonderful also. Heavier and thicker than the polymer Kahrs, but a delight to shoot.

I can't believe no one has mentioned it,,,

I can't believe no one has mentioned it,,,
But the Ruger LC9 is very thin.

In fact I had to use a Pachmayr grip sleeve,,,
Just to fatten it up a teeny bit,,,
Now it's perfect for my hand.

It took a bit to learn the trigger,,,
But now I like the gun very much.

SIG 239; single stack, 8 + 1 in 9mm.

When you specified thin, I thought single stack

Beretta Nano, love mine. Whatever you get though, be sure to get a nice holster.

Ruger LC9s.
The LC9 is a great gun but with a horrible trigger.
Ruger just redesigned the gun as a striker fed--as opposed to hammer--and the trigger pull is now perfect.
Gun store prices are in the $370-4389 range.
It is now called the LC9S and it is, for me, a soon to be must have.

LC9 is great little shooter, but was too small for my grip. Adding a sleeve to any thin, good shooting 9 is great idea.

I'll put in my 2 cents for the kahr cm9. Mine is very reliable but you can only get a two finger grip on it which is ok. It conceals easily. Right now there have been great deals on them. Today only the slightly larger CW9 and the CM 40 are on sale at Palmetto State Armory for $299. Check out their Labor day sale.

I also have a Kahr, but pocket carry mine. If you want the smallest and thinnest, that would most likely be the Rohrbaugh, but is expensive. The new Boberg is also worth a look. More cost effective are the various ones mentioned above

SCCY's Model CPX-2, same for the CPX-1, is 1" thick, just under 6" long and 4 & 1/4" tall if you remove the grip extension on the magazine. The pistol comes with the flat magazine base if you choose to use it vs. the grip extension. It holds 10 + 1 rounds of 9mm and has a life time of the pistol warranty with no questions asked on a warranty claim. Made in the USA and can be had brand new for around $250.00 if you shop around. MSRP is about $319.00. SCCY pays the freight both ways if you should have a repair or warranty issue.

I have no affiliation with SCCY but did have an extremely pleasant experience with their customer service folks. They do have a web site, and there is also an SCCY Forum if you want to do some research.

I think you need to start with some parameters in mind, first. Do you want single action only, striker fired, or something else? Also, at what price point? With these two parameters you can eliminate a number of possibilities.

I can't say this enough. I used to think the shield was the end all of pocket 9's, small, reliable and a decent shooter. I have had two. You mist try the Taurus gen 2 pt111. Such a great gun, a hair thinner and a much Mbetter shooter. I dare you to find a negative review from an actual owner. They are stupid awesome and a stupid great price. Try it out and you won't be disappointed.

I know a few people on here have had good experiences with sccy , I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you that I had the worst experience of any other gun than with a act. I also had to pay out of pocket to have it sent back FOUR times and had to become a DIY gunsmith after that. Hands down the worst gun I have ever owned, but it was uber accurate.

The Sccys and the Rugers are all copies of Keltec designs.
The Keltec PF9 is the original "little" 9mm. It's lighter and flatter than the copies.

Only one brief mention from a fellow Ohioan, but I will add my thumbs up to the Kel Tec PF-9. These pistols are panned by many, but I can tell you mine has been flawless with several flavors of ammo. Very light. I find it easy to shoot - accurate, decent trigger.

If I wanted only small and thin for carry, I'd pick one of these.

A Rohrbaugh
Any model Kahr, TP9 probably,
Walther PPS.
