Henry Frontier very nice and well made

I picked up a Henry Frontier rifle w/ octagon barrel in 22 mag. I must say that the quality and craftsmanship is very nice. The action is as smooth as can be. I would not hesitate to recommend this rifle to anyone that is looking for a good looking rifle with the quality and feel of a more expensive gun.

My basic Henry in LR is the slickest and smoothest rifle I have ever had in my hand. It is my favorite rifle.

Had they been available at the time I would have gotten that rather than my Golden Boy. I just didn't like the round barrel Henry, and the GB was all that had the octagon barrel. A beautiful rifle, and I'm very careful about the finish, but would have rather had a blued one.
Great guns, either one. My one and only 22WMR rifle.

Good to hear! I have no problem with the zinc alloy receivers - they are stronger than aluminum and aluminum is plenty strong for rimfires. But I have a problem with the finish on the receiver which flakes off over time. Unless they've remedied that somehow.

Worked with the Frontier Mag couple months back.
Nice & smooth, decently accurate.
If I were looking for a .22 Mag levergun I could live with that one.
