There is something REALLY satisfying about...

... watching Hellboy, whilst cleaning a Ruger Redhawk!!

OK, not much comparison with his hand-cannon, but still...

Whilst wiping down the flutes of my .44Mag cylinder I realised just how much I looooooove revolvers!!

Just wanted to share a happy gun moment!

You have gone over the edge my friend,,,

You have gone over the edge my friend,,,
And I take pride in being one of the people who shoved you over.

I fondly remember the British Gent from Estonia,,,
Asking for info about used FEG pistols.

Where did that uninformed man go?

Now he has several pistols,,,
A couple of nice rifles,,,
And, a carry permit.

I've said it before and I happily say it again,,,
"You're a strange man Mr. Pond."

"Look, Sammy, I'm not a very good shot,,,
but the Samaritan here uses really big bullets."

One of my favorite lines in the movie,,,
I immediately thought of Jezebel, my 6" S&W 629.

Aarond

Fixed it for you Aarond.

I'd like the details straight if they're being recorded for eternity on the web!!

Yes, things have moved on, or forward should I say, and Hellboy is doing his bit!

Do you think he uses a Lee press?

Been spending an unhealthy amount of time looking at 9" SA Rugers recently, BTW!!

We've all done it at one time or another. The very day that I picked up this:

a copy of Lawrence of Arabia conveniently arrived in the mail from Netflix. Guess what I was watching while looking over my new revolver

How fitting, there Webley.

When I first read your post, the film Zulu came to my mind and Colonel Cooper's musing on the effctiveness of large caliber revovler fire during the siege.

I've enjoyed watching Pond's journey (compare our join dates).

I'm glad to see brothers, and sisters, of this fine hobby doing so well outside of the states.

Heck, this guy has 10x as much fun as I do, over there in evil ole' Europe!

What's your whole collection as of now, if you dont mind me asking? And you have a press or two now too, i believe.

The next step my dear digital acquaintance... Convert an Anti-gunner! and them send him to Chicago to bolster our numbers please.

What's your whole collection as of now...?
2 semis
2 revolvers (one is in intensive care)
2 bolt actions
2 shotguns

3 were bought new, 3 secondhand and 2 passed down.

Would like to upgrade the .308 bolt one day and am tempted to add a long barrel Ruger SRH. (but all of that would mean a small to middling mortgage with EU prices!!)

Also got one press in a freezing garage, and been doing IPSC (never got past mid-field in the score tables though....

All in all an emotionally charged and financially fraught couple of years!!
