Well, that’s not great!
Big fan of Ruger pistols, but the American never did it for me. I couldn’t see the appeal over the SR line. The American rifles, on the other hand, have blown my mind for the price point. The link you provide claims the issue doesn’t show itself until 10,000 rounds, but only offers a retrofit after signs of wear and cracks appear. I wonder how many Ruger American pistol owners have shot 10k+ rounds through their pistols and regularly clean and maintain them, for that matter. I would think Ruger would offer the retrofit to any and all Ruger American Postol owners... |

Sticking with Glock 17 for my 9mm needs.
Ruger makes some nice revolvers, though.
