Harris is a safe bet, I've used them and they worked fine. For bench shooting Sinclair's bipod looks awesome and I've heard good things but like all Sinclair products: Quality isn't cheap.

Personal Preference

There's going to be a lot of personal preference in that decision. I have 2 Harris bipods and a Blackhawk. Each of them in a different style (notched and smooth legs) and length. As far as quality, the Harris “pivot” function can lock down tighter and transitions smoother than the Blackhawk.

I looked at a lot of them and bought a Harris. They aren't cheap, but they have proved their worth to me.

For shooting off a bench, I would recommend sticking with the standard 6"-9" inch as it will give you the height you need while sitting at a bench.

Harris is a pretty safe bet and I have been happy with them as that is the bipod I have mounted on my rifles which wear one.
