No. 41
I went into a small town, ma and pa general store. They had a brick of primers. Don't ask where, I ain't telling. Anyway, the primers were CCI and they had the number 41. The box was too high on shelf to get see anything else. What are #41 primers used for?

They are harder than normal SR primers.
They are for use in military style semi autos that have a free floating firing pin. This helps guard against the possibility of a slam fire. |

They are fine. They use them in Military rifles so they don't slam fire. Unless your rifle has a weak firing pin spring they will be fine. They are for use in 5.56mm guns like the M4 and M16a1/M249 SAW. I am not sure if they are hotter than normal primers but they are made to work with Ball powder.
You will not be blown up if you load them properly. Use them like you would any other SR primer.

Of course they're safe. The only difference is that the primer cup is either a bit thicker or a bit harder so as to better resist the impact of the firing pin buring cycling of the action.

CCI # 41 primers -- (manufactured to military specifications)
As stated ubove they do have a harder cup (to help prevent a slam fire) and they also are a magnum primer ( this aids in the ignition of ball powders and helps ignite powder in very cold temperature) They work very well in 223 or any small rifle primer aplication ( they are the only small rifle primer I use) they can be used with any powder in any temperature ( Max loads should be reduced when switching to a magnum primer ) |

Treat them like you would a MAG primer.
