"How Bloomberg bought the Gun Control Movement"

I'm not a fan of "Mother Jones" but this article caught my eye, "How Michael Bloomberg bought the Gun Control movement."

https://www.motherjones.com/politics...trol-movement/

It's about how and why Michael Bloomberg became a major player in the gun control movement. It is not really an anti-gun article, it's more of a "how it happened article" and it's doesn't fawn over Bloomberg and his accomplishments.

I found it very interesting.

Hmmm ...

Overall, not a bad article. But not great.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns also doled out five- and six-figure sums to existing gun control groups and gave seed money to Americans for Responsible Solutions, the group former Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords launched with her husband, Mark Kelly, a year after she was severely wounded in a mass shooting in Tucson.
IIRC, a year after her shooting Gabby Giffords could barely speak her own name. That anti-gun group wasn't started by Gabby Giffords with her husband. It was started BY her husband.

Not a fawning Bloomberg article but shows that he likes buying anything he can to show us his importance.

Thankfully he couldn't buy the White House, unless they move it America Samoa.

The article deals with "how" he did it....but not "why" he supports gun control. In another article he believes his spiritual eternity in heaven can be purchased by funding anti-gun issues. He's obviously never read the New Testament.

I don't know about that. Bloomberg can't stand Sanders or Trump. I see a connection between his spending and Biden's victories on Super Tuesday. And now Bloomberg is going to dump hundreds of millions into direct pro-Biden spending.
