TAC 65/67 Suppressor on .22WMR?
Hi all.
I'm looking at getting a Tactical Innovations TAC 65 or 67 (stainless) suppressor. It's primary role will be at the end of a buckmark or walther (for which the 67 may be too heavy), but i'm wondering if i could use these successfully with my marlin .22 magnum bolt action rifle? The .223 can (suptac16) could handle it, i'm sure, but i don't imagine it would make the .22LR as quiet. I do realize that the .22 magnum will be supersonic (kind of pointless making a subsonic .22WMR ), but i think it would still be pretty nice to use. (Edited to add: BTW, are there any legal issues with threading the barrel of any ol' gun? I just talked to the closest gunsmith and he said they would not want to thread the barrel on my Marlin due to potential liability issues... ) Last edited by jcims; January 24, 2006 at 03:53 PM. |
