Reverse Cantilever Weaver Rails?

Do weaver rails exist that they extend BACKWARDS towards the eye of the shooter?

Here's a Photochopped M1A of what I'm talking about...the idea is to throw the ACOG a few inches back.

Mechanically it is probably possible to mount then that way and it likely would work very well until you fired it.

Negative eye relief...
Is NOT a good thing.

Heavy, match smallbore; yeah.
Anything with recoil; Nah.
