541-S Custom Sporter
I have a Remington 541-S Custom Sporter .22lr which I purchased in 1978. It has very nice scrolling on the receiver and came with one plastic magazine. The walnut stock is very nice. I have used it very little and it is in excellent condition. I also have a Leapold 3-9X on it purchased about the same time. A friend has told me that model is no longer made and my gun has increased significantly in value. Can anyone give me some accurate info.

They are a nice rifle & sell for a good price. Suggest you look for them on gunbroker.

I've only ever seen one 541-S. Didn't have the money then and still don't today. Most beautiful 22 I've ever seen!

The Remington 541-S is the first .22LR I ever paid for with my own money. The current prices asked are pretty impressive, but, so was the sales price way back then.

The 541 I was bidding on sold for $781 today on gunbroker. It was the heavy barrel version. I remember in the mid 1990s seeing a new one in a shop for $399 -I wish I had bought it!
