today, just shot the best round of sporting clays ever!
and did it with my new SE 20ga/30" Citori White Lightning. Killed 88 out of 100 targets. Beat my personal best by 5 birds. I really love this gun...
so easy to shoot, almost perfect balance... |

Which case is that Slugo and is it a current model? I have to get something and I don't want to drop $200+ on a case.

TKM - you can find foam-lined cases in any sporting store for about $20.
Slugo - nice job! Must be the lack or porting that made it possible..... |

TKM...
like 1oz said, you can get plain foam cases for $20 bucks or less. The Browning case was about $30 back about 10 years ago. BPS and Cabelas has tons of cheapos...

Nice, Mike!
Isn't it fun when you trounce a personal best? For me on sporting clays, that would be... anything above 27 of 50, I think...

Nice shooting. If I hit around 65-70 I consider it a windfall day. I f I hit 88 out of 100, I'd go buy a lottery ticket
NIce looking scattergun there too

And so were tied... But doing it with a 20ga is all the more commendable.
Where did you shoot at? |

Thanks again guys. I shot it at the Warington Club in Wellsville, PA. I went out today and shot a 76. Much more wind today, but no excuse. Consistency they say is the name of the game. In my case I just like to have fun and enjoy my shooting friends. Usually, we don't even keep score...

You're doing it the right way, in my opinion - keep having fun ...most of us will never make enough money shooting to care...
In 7 or 8 seasons of registered sporting clays...moving my way up to class B / is the highest I got ...and a win here and there in class, some Lewis Class payouts, a few plaques, trophy's and belt buckles - and I even won a couple of nice shotguns as door prizes..( including a new Browning Citori XT Trap one year ) .....and my total cash winnings were under $ 5,000 ....and even with the 2 guns, I won on the raffles it was only $ 9,000 probably .... .....and just my entry fees for targets in registered events, were close to $ 2,500 a year ...so call it $ 20,000 ( and I'm already in the hole $ 11,000 ).................... and the total cost of 20,000 shells a year, and the 6 or 8 practice rounds a week, and the gas, food and hotel bills..... its not a money making proposition....it was fun ...and challenging ...and money well spent ...but when it wasn't as much fun, as just shooting with my buddy's on a local level...I quit shooting registered ....( a guy only needs so many belt buckles ...) .... ...can't see it anyway, unless I stand in front of a mirror ... BigJim, It's hard to but a price on the memories you will have whenever you look at the XT or even those buckles.
